As the 2026 World Cup keeps interrupting my sleep schedule until 19th July. It’s now safe to say, rugby is back.
The calm before the storm (Kenya 7s Circuit) was the MET 7s featuring mostly Nairobi teams and hosted by KCB at the Ruaraka Sports Club.
This was one of the most organized set of fixtures I have ever seen in a local 7s tournament. The schedule was only behind by 15 minutes.
Ultimately, after all the 24 games, the semifinal followed and thereafter the final between KCB (The hosts) and Daystar University.
KCB won the final 26 – 12 against the Daystar Falcons. Congrats to the 2025 National 7s circuit champions! Can’t wait for the 2026 circuit to begin on 25th July at Nakuru Athletics Club (Prinsloo 7s).
