Sunday morning was gloomy for me. The unusual dark cloud just does not fit for the “Sun” day. I therefore decided to chase the sun both in another county and country.

Started from a breakfast at Mombasa Road and the idea came to have lunch in Tanzania.
It’s a 2 and a half hour drive incase you keep the speed limit. By the time the sun was out, I was past Kitengela and straight down towards Namanga border.
Surprisingly there weren’t many cars on the way there. However, one could see the caravan of cars headed back to Nairobi from lodges such as the famous Lerruat Resort. It reminds you on how much Kajiado has to offer for weekend excursions.

There were several hills on the way towards the border and was able to capture some at 100kph.
Incase you are reading this because lunch was on the title, it was at the Rooftop lounge.
FYI. If you are Kenyan and driving, there is no need to give details at the border point, just cross, no one will hold you back.

One thing you’d hate as a foreigner in TZ is the prices. For example how can goat meat be KES 2,952/=. What is that 52 shillings doing there. Also, I think if it’s your first time, sit inside next to the counters to get correct prices.
It was great to note, TZ was in campaign season for their general elections whereas KE we are on for our by elections.
We are the noisy neighbors of East Africa, on the way back, Kitengela was a mad house due to traffic caused by the by election campaigns. Coming back on a Sunday, kindly use Kiserian route.
It was a 7 hour drive in total so my legs need some rest. See you on my next adventure.
