The suburbs of Karen hides more places behind its dense cover of the Ngong Forest. This time it was a historic tour of The Karen Blixen Museum.
The museum is under the Museums of Kenya and the ticket was KES 210/- payable non cash.

The museum features an ancient house of the late Danish author “Baroness Karen Christenze von Blixen-Finecke”.

The house features artifacts and items used by the author during her days in the country. Each and every room has been well maintained. Photography inside the museum is not allowed.
To be honest, there is an option of having a guide take you around, but I felt the museum doesn’t offer much to require a guide.
However, there is a nature trail that is quite interesting and one has to be careful to notice it. The guides may not tell you but if you are patient you’ll get to do the 30 minute walk which features an old coffee making machine. Enjoy.
