From the history archives, men have been deemed capable of building houses but more importantly being deemed incapable of running these houses. This is the story of Lord Egerton.
Lord Egerton set on a Kenyan quest to impress his mistress from the UK. Due to this, Lord Egerton promised to build a house that the Lady would sincerely be obliged to stay.
Upon embarking on this quest he built a solid bungalow of 3 rooms and by the time the Lady came back, she deemed it not sufficient to her demands. This frustrated Lord Egerton as he was set on another quest to build even a larger house, The Lord Egerton Castle in 1952.

“Challenge accepted!” Lord Egerton said.
After this he build a wonderful castle like mansion, overlooking plains across the many acres he had acquired.

Below are some images of the interior.

Long story short, the lady still refused this mansion and went ahead to marry another lad from the UK. Lord Egerton never married up to his demise in 1958.
He is fondly remembered for creating a farm school in 1939 to train settlers. We presently known this as the prominent Egerton University.
